Depending on your choice, the Novem Lapides game consists of:

1) Taking a stone that is to be selected by the opponent - the Taker;

2) Predicting which stone was taken by the opponent - Bettor;

The game consists of 9 turns. After each round, points are awarded and the stone taken in a given turn is removed from the board, which cannot be taken and selected again until the 9th turn.

The score decreases (for the bettor) or increases (for the taker) in the next rounds by 1 point. The maximum number of points you can earn is 45.

In turn 9, all stones are available for collection again. The bettor's role is to indicate in which row or column the taken stone is located, indicating both the row and the column.

Winning is about scoring more points after the 9th round.

The taker starts the game.
